Alexis K Wallace, DVM
Dr. Wallace was born and raised in the Garden State of New Jersey. She attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY and earned a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. She then attended Louisiana State University where she received a Masters Degree in Reproductive Physiology. Dr. Wallace returned to the Bluegrass State to work in research at the University of KentuckyÃ¢ÂÂs Medical School.
After several years in the research community, Dr. Wallace applied to the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and was granted admission. After graduation in June of 1990, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to complete an internship in equine medicine. She returned yet again to Kentucky to practice veterinary medicine at Cook Animal Hospital in Springfield. Dr. Wallace enjoyed the challenges of a mixed animal practice but the hours were relentless.
In 1993, Dr. Wallace moved to the New Albany area. She has worked at many clinics in the Kentuckiana area as a relief veterinarian including 3 years here at Ridgeview Animal Clinic.
Dr. Wallace resides on a small farm with her two children and a menagerie of animals. Her interests include gardening, horseback riding (reining), reading and enjoying life in general.
